School Partnerships: In 2014-2015 the NYC Mathematics Project is working with 27 New York City schools. The NYC Writing Project is working with 20 New York City schools. Most of these partnerships are multi-year collaborations.

State Writing Project Network: NYCWP is a founding member of the Empire State Writing Project Network (ESWPN) an association of nine National Writing Project sites from across New York State working to share practice and influence policy. The most recent meeting was held in April 2015 at SUNY New Paltz. Joe Bellacero, Tricia Clarke, Renée Ehle, and Grace Raffaele represented the NYCWP.

Lehman Edible Garden: Working in collaboration with Lehman’s Department of Health Sciences and staff from a variety of college departments and programs, the ALC has played a lead role in initiating and maintaining the garden since the 2009 growing season. Each year, ALC students are immersed in food-related activities: planting, tending and harvesting the garden, as well as preparing the food they have grown. These activities are supplemented by a summer nutrition and healthy cooking class provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension using the Health Sciences Department kitchen facilities. Additionally, this summer marks the second year that the ALC and Corbin Hill Farms have partnered to bring locally-sourced produce to the Lehman community.
